Was purchased by John T. Lynch, then Fire Chief of Kansas City for his four sons, and began by operating out of the Lynch family home with a horse and wagon. Later we moved to 2715 Prospect and bought two trucks.
We moved to larger facilities at 2505 and 2504 Prospect with five trucks.
We moved to 3242 Gillham Road with 16 trucks and vans.
Superior became an agent for Wheaton Van Lines.
Moved to 2020 Walnut. The horse and wagon had expanded to 40 trucks and vans. Our 98,000 square foot warehouse is now capable of all types of storage.
Fourth generation of the Lynch family assumes control of the company.
Superior Moving Service, Inc. became Wheaton Van Lines “Agent of the Year” out of 350 agents around the country.
Qualified as a Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE)minority status, Wheaton Van Lines largest Mid-western agency.
Expanded warehouse size to 120,000 square feet. Now Wheaton’s 7th largest agent and again a “Million Dollar Medallion Agency”.
Starting in 1994, we achieved designation as a “Quality Agent” in recognition of our efforts to increase and maintain quality standards in all areas of our business.
Expanded warehouse size to over 200,000 square feet.
Development of “IMS,” an Inventory Management System device for all warehouse operations.
